I went natural for several reasons. 1. wasting too much money on hairstyles with perms that lasted a week! 2. suffering from extreme breakage due to chemicals (perms) 3. I aways wore my hair in a bun anyway 3. In '97 when I made the decision, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu were my idols. 4. why not? 5. I thought curls were beautiful. 6. I thought about how long my hair was 4 years prior when I got my first perm in '93. 7. IT was ABOUT DOGGONE TIME LOL Great question!
