  • Great question! I went natural for several reasons. 1. wasting too much money on hairstyles with perms that lasted a week! 2. suffering from extreme breakage due to chemicals (perms) 3. I aways wore my hair in a bun anyway 3. In '97 when I made the decision, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu were my idols. 4. why not? 5. I thought curls were beautiful. 6. I thought about how long my hair was 4 years prior when I got my first perm in '93. 7. IT was ABOUT DOGGONE TIME LOL

  • I've always been natural + I love both curly and straight hair = natural hair is the best of both worlds

    One day it just dawned on me that if you're fighting with your hair regularly, you're not doing it right. I transitioned, so it was a lot harder than it needed to be, but now that all the processed hair has grown out I'm very happy with my curls.
