Have you ever stop to just smell the roses and think for a little while? You ever ask yourself if this is all there is to life? Is there something more? I mean our lives usually go as follows:
- We are born and we are infants for so long
- We become toddlers and understand a little bit more
- We become kids and don’t have a worry in the world but we do have big dreams
- We become teenagers and try and follow our dreams and daydream about what college life is going to be like.
- We become college students and then we day dream about how glamorous our lives are going to be once we graduate with our degrees
- We get out into the workforce and for most people, it involves somebody else telling us where we have to be for a certain time “or else”
- We build up our retirement or our little 401k and get married, have a family, and raise the kids
- Kids grow up, we retire, become grandparents
- Spend the rest of our lives doing whatever it is that older people do and then here comes death at our door.
- We die
Now that is the summary of the majority of our lives. Never do anything exciting, never do anything that people will remeber us for. Run the rat race until the screen reads game over. I don’t know about you but what i just posted up there doesn’t satisfy me.
I want people to remeber my name and i want people to know it while i am alive. I mean people say the only thing real in life is memories right? Ehh , i don’t know about that because you even lose those once you die.
So yea i am saying all this to get to my point: What do you expect out of life? Are you comfortable being an average joe or are do you want to be a hell of a lot more?
Nah before you hurry up and tell yourself that no u don’t want to be an average joe, think about it. Don’t just say that cuz thats what people do and thats called LYING TO YOURSELF! Being more than the average person involves lots and lots of work and responsibilty that most people frankly don’t want to deal with.
Cuz if it was easy…… everybody would do it.
